Junior Caretakers Program
Do your kids love animals but are too young to volunteer?
Our Junior Caretaker experience gives children ages 6-12 the chance to help us (with a lot of supervision) feed animals, groom animals, and learn husbandry and general chores.
The price is $30 for the first child and $10 for each additional child. Parents may drop their children off or stay to observe their experience.
What do you need to do to get started?
Complete an initial tour of the sanctuary.
Once you’ve taken our tour, please schedule your junior volunteer time below.
Be willing to work and get dirty. And get paid in animal snuggles.
Please bring your own lunch, hat, sunscreen, and water with you. For hot days, bring a bathing suit, towel, and water shoes (but not flip flops).

Kaylin is a homeschooling mom to three daughters and a former preschool teacher with a passion for nurturing both children and animals. In her free time, her family loves hiking, exploring creeks, gardening, and caring for their cats and chickens.
She is looking forward to making new friends, learning together, and spending time with all the amazing animals on the farm!
