They have a home.
Help us keep it that way.

Our lease is ending. By February 2027, more than 350 rescued animals need a permanent home.

Our lease is ending.
Our mission isn’t.

Hope & Serenity Farm Sanctuary has been a safe haven for rescued farm animals since 2017. We've saved more than 5,000 animals and created a place where children, families, volunteers, veterans, and people of all abilities can experience compassion in action.

Now, our current lease will not be renewed.

We have an opportunity to secure a permanent home — but we need our community's help to stay local. With the rising cost of land in Northern Virginia, we currently cannot afford to stay close to our community without help.

We are launching a $900,000 capital campaign to stay within the Northern Virginia area.

Our Programs

Our animals can live anywhere, but our community is here in Northern Virginia. Through education, community partnerships, and advocacy, our mission is to inspire a more compassionate world where all beings are cherished and respected.

Homeschool Program

A place for students to learn about responsible animal ownership, animal husbandry and compassion.

Veterans Program

A place for veterans to experience the healing joy of animal love

Jr. Volunteer Program

Teaching kids the art of animal husbandry and how to care for animals leading with empathy and compassion.

Preschool Program

A grown-up-and-me experience to learn to safely interact with farm animals, learn about their care and practice gentleness.

Volunteer Program

Our sanctuary runs 100% on volunteer labor and love. Without our community of volunteers we wouldn’t be able to care for our many rescued animals.

School Field Trips

A number of local schools, day-care programs, day-support programs for students with special needs and private academies come to experience our sanctuary.

Special Needs Enrichment

Young adults of mixed abilities can care for our animals and experience the unconditional love our animals share with our visitors.

Junior Animal Advocacy

A program for adolescents to learn about farm animal welfare, including their rights, living conditions, and humane practices in agriculture.

Caretaker Camps

Programs during school breaks where kids of all ages can join us in learning about our mission
